Peyia, over the ages, has grown up around a natural spring, known locally and affectionately as “Spring of Pegia Women”.  Today the spring is protected by a stoned arch structure and, as legend has it, this was used for washing clothes.

At the gateway to the Akamas Peninsula, an area of outstanding natural beauty, and overlooking a delightful cove and the clear turquoise waters of the Mediterranean are the most spectacular sea caves of Cyprus, known as Kantarkasti Caves of Pegia. Myth and legend surround their origins but, in reality, it is the very gradual erosion by the sea that has formed these open caves some of which have formed an internal labyrinth.

On a gentle hillside, with views to the sea, stand the exclusive detached villas giving an air of relaxed contemporary elegance.
